Summer 2014 - Days 53 & 54

Saturday, August 9th - Day 53

What a fun day!  After a morning run in the rain (sans Ryan), we spent the morning building towers (mostly the "tallest tower in the world" just like in Daniel Tiger's neighborhood again) and we ran errands during the day.
"I want A LOT of cream cheese, Mommy"

"Is this A LOT of cream cheese?"

We went to a wedding in Greensboro, and we had so much fun there!  While we were seated waiting for the wedding to start, Ryan kept on asking where the wedding was.  During the ceremony, I had to give him a play-by-play to kind of keep him quiet - like "they're saying really nice things to each other", "now they are giving each other a ring to wear", "now this person is going to talk about love and getting married".  He kind of seemed to get it.
Pre-wedding family selfie!

During the reception, Ryan was a huge hit!  He enjoyed the food and the flashing lights and running around in an area off to the side, but he REALLY enjoyed the flower girls.  He kept on trying to give them flowers and watched them the entire night - but then when one of them showed a little bit of interest in him, he clammed up and got really shy (just like his daddy!).
Taking selfies during the reception.

Ryan's "funny face" for the selfie

Giving one of the flower girls some flowers.  So sweet!

Dancing with my sweet boy!

Trying to get Ryan to dance!

Look out, ladies!  This boy has some moves!  Watch out!

Whew!  Too much dancing has me worn out.  I'll take a little rest right here.

On the way home, Ryan kept on asking when we are going to go to a wedding again and then said that his favorite part of the wedding was the girls :)  Such a ladies man!

Sunday, August 10th - Day 54

I guess the wedding really wore Ryan out - he slept in until 9:30 this morning!  MAN, it felt good to sleep!  Granted, we didn't get home until almost midnight (Ryan fell asleep in the car at about 10:30 or so) but I guess Ryan had too much fun woo-ing the flower girls at the wedding.  Too cute :)

We spent the morning playing with blocks and building towers.  We decided to have my family over for dinner tonight since Joe brought back a lot of fish and seafood from the beach during his short trip and we needed some help eating it.  We spent most of our day going to the grocery store and prepping for everyone to come over for dinner.
"And this block needs to go right here, ok Daddy?"

The tower hasn't fallen down (yet)!  Hooray!

After dinner, Ryan had a ball trying to "talk" to Siri on Joe's phone - telling her that he was eating watermelon when Siri would say "I don't understand" and saying some other funny things to her.

Being mischievous.
